Fine lingerie is an investment that can last a lifetime, or at least not.
If you care for your lingerie properly, you will extend its life and enjoy it for many years. Always check the label sewn on your underwear. Understand your product and how to care for it. The label is always correct.
If the label only states dry cleaning, please take these instructions seriously. Machine or hand washing a dry cleaning garment can only ruin it.
Once you’ve removed the label from your garment, follow these general guidelines: Most lingerie can be hand washed in cold water with a mild detergent (such as Ivory Snow). Make sure you rinse thoroughly. Always dry your underwear off or dry them on a flat towel. Never put underwear in the dryer. You can use mild steam to remove wrinkles.
Lingerie Diva recommends washing your lingerie in a lingerie wash bag. These bags ensure that your fine lingerie does not buckle. And stretched while washing.
Wash bags are available in most laundry and drug stores. Silk care Special notes Silk underwear is strong but very delicate, so special care should be taken when washing. Mild soap or silk laundry only. Never use detergent on silk.
Soak your underwear in warm water for about five minutes. Shake gently, but do not twist. Rinse well with cold water (you can add a teaspoon of vinegar to the conditioner to remove any soap residue). and lay flat to dry. Iron slightly damp or hang laundry in a steamy bathroom to remove creases.
